Flights:
There are several affordable flight tickets from the USA to Bogota Colombia. This will depend on your budget and the number of stops that work for you.
I flew with Delta airlines to Bogota, Colombia from BWI, Maryland and I will highly recommend it. The flight time total was short of 8 hours total excluding layover time in Atlanta, Georgia.
The food (sandwich) was good, and the air hostesses were pleasant. Overall nice experience flying with Delta airlines, and I will be flying them often now.
Accommodation:
I stayed at Hotel El Dorado, Bogota and it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel staff were very welcoming, the rooms were cleaned on time daily, and my stay also included a free breakfast buffet.
It was about 65 dollars a night for a room for 2 via Expedia, so make sure you visit Expedia for your hotel and flight reservation.
Mode of Transportation:
Bogota, Colombia has a great public transportation system, but we opted for Uber on this trip. Uber was very cheap and always on time so I will highly recommend it.
Bogota, Colombia has over 11 million people and the metro buses always looked very full, so we felt more comfortable with Uber.
The streets of Bogota, Colombia are very busy especially during rush hour and it gives me anxiety so be prepared.
Where to eat:
I was in Bogota Colombia for 2 full days, and I had a chance to sample some traditional Colombian and Asian food.

Bogota, Colombia is a historical and fun city.
Overall trip was very relaxing, lots of fun moments with my friend and I really enjoyed the warmth of the people of Bogota.
I enjoyed the night walks in the city, either for grocery shopping or dinner and I loved exchanging greetings with the Colombians we walked by. I got several “Hola”, “and “goodnights” and it just made my day.
The little things that matter.
