As a continuation to my previous post, this is a part two on the best motivation to lose weight. As someone who successfully lost over 30 pounds in 3 months, these are some of the motivation tips that inspired me through out my weight loss journey. I hope you are inspired too.
HAVE ONE CHEAT DAY A WEEK:
During my weight loss journey, having a cheat day did the trick for me, On this day, which was mostly Saturday, I ate whatever I wanted with no restrictions. I found myself looking forward to Saturdays and this was very beneficial to keep me in check during the week. These cheat meals were the highlight of my week and I also made sure I cooked them to make the meals more fun.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS CLOSELY:
Tracking your progress closely is key to success. Write down your weekly goal, write down dates so you can track your progress. Write down anything, and everything to keep you on track and make sure you keep your eye on the goal.
CELEBRATE YOUR NEW SELF:
Making changes to your lifestyle and diet is always very challenging so I will advise that you celebrate yourself at the end of each day. Read words of affirmation at the end of the day, pamper yourself and assure yourself that you are doing this for you, and you are alone. Always know that you are not alone on this journey, and I will be rooting for you.
KNOW WHEN TO STOP:
Once you have attained your weight goal and are comfortable with where you are, it is very crucial that you stop the diet and begin eating more regularly. Stick to healthy foods and make it a new lifestyle. I struggled with getting off my diet once I had attained my weight loss goal for fear of gaining the weight back and I struggled to overcome this. I had to meet with a dietitian, and she was very helpful and very supportive. She was my support system to nurture myself back.
BUY YOURSELF A GIFT:
Remember the gift you promised yourself at the beginning of your weight loss journey? (refer to my previous blog on best motivation to lose weight, part one). Well, congratulations you earned it. So, go shopping, buy your gift yourself and you are crazy like me, wear it immediately and flaunt your new body. YOU WORKED SO HARD AND YOU DESERVE THIS…I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!
