God Works in Mysterious Ways!

It is said in the Bible chapter Romans 8:28, “And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose”. God works in mysterious ways and when we pray, we do not know when and how will answer our prayers, but he is a faithful God and he will surely find a way to answer us when we call unto him. I am here today to share my testimony and I am hoping this inspires anyone reading this.

Back in October 2022, my friends and I decided to travel to South Korea and Japan. Sometime ago, I had decided that to get the best experience, I will fly with the local airlines of any country I am visiting. The first time I went to Dubai, my sisters and I decided to fly with Emirates airlines and we had one of the best flight experiences we could ever ask  for. Top notch service, and the food options were one of the best airline foods I had in a while. Overall we had a great experience with Emirates airlines and that pretty much was the start of a wonderful experience in Dubai.

Flying local airlines of international countries is usually very expensive and you have to sacrifice and pay more for this experience. Here is in October 2022, and I am completing flight reservations to South Korea and Japan. Of course that will mean we have to fly Korean Air but the flights were way too expensive and we decided to fly Air Canada instead. Air Canada was 200 dollars more than local US airlines and 600 dollars cheaper than Korean Air.

March 14th 2023 we get to the airport 2 hours before our flight and we are ready to fly to Canada for a 1hr 30 minutes layover before our long flight of 14hrs 55 minutes to South Korea. Unfortunately due to bad weather, the incoming flight was delayed and this affected our outgoing flight. Our flight was delayed for 15 mins and then 40 minutes. We start panicking because this means we will miss our connecting flight.

In the midst of confusion, I said a short prayer and then a few minutes later, we heard our names on the intercom to come to the front. The customer service agents confirmed our fear that we will miss our flight and she said they are currently working on a solution. Behold, you will not believe what she says next.

In her words “You will miss your flight to South Korea but we have an alternate option if you agree. We will proceed to complete 3 reservations with Korean Air here at Washington Dulles Airport. It will be a direct flight to Incheon airport and we were able to reserve similar seats for you, what do you think? Isn’t this a better option?” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Are you really asking me that? This is exactly the flight we wanted but couldn’t afford it and now we are pretty much getting a free upgrade? Please complete the reservation and let’s get on board.

We were so ecstatic!! I was so happy and I called my mom immediately to tell her what just happened. Isn’t God great?

Trust in the Lord wholeheartedly, and when you pray have faith in him. Don’t ask how he is going to make it happen but just trust him and he will make a way where there seems to be no way. He is all powerful and a God who writes straight on crooked lines. When it seems all hope is lost, at the very last minute, he will shine his light upon us and show us how powerful, and faithful he is.

I was so overwhelmed by this miracle that I wrote this blog post on the plane. So far, the experience is great, we got our first meal already and I am looking forward to my next meal.
