I have never had eczema before and even when I found some patches on my skin, I wasn’t sure what it was. I thought my sensitive skin was just reacting to my current body lotion so I invested in some more expensive body lotion but then the itching, and dry skin patches won’t go away.
The dry, itchy, and inflamed skin won’t go away even after using the new body products for over a month and I was getting very worried. I didn’t really know what to do as the affected area was hurting and itchy so I decided to carry out my own research and change all the skin care products.
I successfully completed my research and came up with a list of new body lotion and soap bars I could try. These options had the potential to stop the eczema and prevent it from happening again. From my understanding, the key element needed to cure eczema and heal the skin was ceramides and hyaluronic acid.
Ladies and gentlemen the answer to all my worries and the solution to my skin problem turned out to be no other than CeraVe. Hartman calls “the building blocks of a healthy skin barrier,” it will provide your dry, itchy skin the protection it needs to stay hydrated. I must say Hartman was right because this product worked like magic for me, and I will highly recommend it for folks suffering from eczema.
I was able to narrow down my recommendation lists and decided to settle for CeraVe. I have never used this product before, so I walked into Target and bought my first CeraVe body and body soap.
I was very excited to start using these new products, so I gave my opened expensive body lotion from Sephora (OUAI) and shower gel (Rituals). I love these products and I hope to be able to incorporate them again into my daily routine sometime in the near future when I am completely healed. I also have the Rituals body scrub that I currently use. I get my body scrubs from Macys or from my international trips.
Day 1 of using the CeraVe I noticed the itchiness had reduced and my skin was starting to heal and look visibly different. Mind you, I stopped using every other product including my body scrub and only focused on using the CeraVe Daily moisturizing lotion and CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser bar (I will include a picture on this blog so you can see which ones I used).
By day 3, I could notice the difference as my skin was healing at a very fast pace. I really wasn’t expecting to see such a huge difference in a very short amount of time, and it felt like a miracle. The itchiness and dry skin was completely gone and my skin was healing.
By day 7, the previously affected area was looking visibly healthier, the patches were healed, and the itchiness had completely stopped. The dry skin around my back and under arm area were completely healed and the dry skin had peeled off and was healing. I was shocked, surprised and very happy. The eczema had made me very uncomfortable and would hurt whenever I worked out and my sweat got in contact with the affected area.
I am really happy I trusted my gut and tried this new product and I am here today to recommend it. Try it if you are suffering from eczema and I hope it works for you like it did for me. If the eczema persists, then I will recommend you seek a doctor.
Update: I am back to using my body scrub with the CeraVe body lotion and cleanser bar soap.
