- SINGAPORE:
One of the top traveling destinations in Southeast Asia, also one of the cleanest and richest. Singapore is an island country located in Southeast Asia and became a favorite traveling destination after the very successful and popular movie “Crazy Rich Asians” (My sisters and I decided to visit Singapore after watching this movie).
Singapore is known for its delicious and cheap street foods that can be found in many locations such as the Hawker Center, Newton food center. Singapore is also home to some state of the art buildings like the Changi airport, Gardens by the bay, and the Marina Bay Sands.
The Singapore Changi airport has the only indoor water forest in the world, it also has a huge movie theater and an ice ring. The Changi airport will be a favorite airport choice for a long layover.
Of course, you can’t leave Singapore without shopping. Some favorite shopping locations will be Orchard Road and most famously the shops at Marina Bay Sands. The shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is an ideal location for high end fashion like Chanel, and Balenciaga.
While in Singapore, I will also recommend spending a day or two in Sentosa Island. Access to the Island from the city is either by road, cable car, pedestrian boardwalk, and monorail. This beloved island resort is best known for its tropical beaches, luxurious hotels, and thrilling attractions such as Universal Studios.
- DUBAI:
Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the capital of the Emirate of Dubai.Dubai is known for its lively nightlife, luxurious shopping, and extraordinary architecture and desert safari tours.
Dubai is a city of skyscrapers, ports, and beaches, making it a favorite destination for tourists. The tallest building in the world (Burj Khalifa), and the largest mall in the world (the Dubai Mall) are based in Dubai and are also right next to each other making it easier to visit and explore.
It is advisable to visit Dubai from September to April, when it’s not too hot. The spring weather is the ideal time, and I will advise you not to visit during the summertime due to the very hot and humid weather. Also, some activities are usually unavailable during this time.
Even if you haven’t been to Dubai yet, make sure you have it on your vacation list.
- AMSTERDAM, NEDERLAND:
Amsterdam is the capital and most populous city of the Netherlands. It is a great art district and has many bike paths, and canals.
The city is known for its canals, narrow houses, coffee shops, museums, and bicycles. The Van Gogh Museum is in Amsterdam and houses the works of Vincent van Gogh. Amsterdam is also very well known for its fries, and you can get some of the best fries from Manneken Pis Damrak.
For a stroll and picnic, you can visit the Vondelpark, which is where to go in Amsterdam for picnicking, when the weather is nice. Vondelpark is the largest green space in the city, and has fountains and sculptures, making it ideal for a relaxing day.
Every spring. Amsterdam organizes the Tulip festival to display and let tourists admire the colorful flower fields. People from all over the world come to enjoy the beautiful Keukenhof tulip garden and explore the tulip fields that are located about 30 minutes via taxi or 40 – 50 minutes via public transportation from the center of Amsterdam. After your visit, you get some free Tulips to take home with you. The festival usually runs between March to May so ensure to visit Amsterdam during that time frame.
Amsterdam is also in very close proximity to several European Countries notably Belgium, and Germany. Brussels, Belgium and Dusseldorf, Germany are only about 2 hours away via the bus. So, plan a Europe tour and hit these three cities in a few days.

The City of Brussels is the capital of Belgium in Western Europe. Brussels is bilingual French-Dutch, and it is the mostly densely populated city of Belgium. It is home to the European Union headquarters. The Grand-Place square at the heart of the city has shops and cafes inside for some delicious waffles and chocolate.
For the best Belgian waffles in the city, you can visit the waffle factory for some authentic and unique waffle choices.
